everybody loves stickers

My Sticker shop is open! You can also find it in shop tab here at my blog. The only one I’m totally out of is the senatorial Leia. Low stock of Wedding Leia and T’Lyn (only 2 left of each of those) – everything else has decent stock.

I’m planning to leave it up probably through January-ish? Then I’ll be doing wave 2 in prep for Celebration swag. I’ll probably do 10-12 again – for Leia I’m thinking Huttslayer, Jedi, Boushh, MAYBE wedding again because she was a hit, and the Disney “adventure” outfit maybe? For Padme, red invasion, wedding, veranda nightgown, funeral, and maybe AOTC cut senate? I dunno, something to decide later. I do need to redraw some of these Padmes for printing if I’m going to do them.

Anyway. I’ve got the last set of my Dragon Con photos from Chase up – the pics he took of my Belle costume:

Of course I wanted to recreate my 2005 pic standing on these stairs. “I know what it looks like I don’t need to pull up a photo” (Spoiler alert, I should’ve pulled up a photo. That’s not how I was standing. Oh well.)

The sun hit the top of the pencil box I keep the stickers in and it made this groovy ghost on the wall:

I’ve been slowly working on cleaning up the upstairs, getting dragon con put away and the new craft room cleared out. It’s difficult finding places for the stuff that used to live under that bed. I had 2 boxes of quilting supplies that were my great grandmother’s under there.

I did manage to get them all down into one box, so that’s progress. I can’t get rid of any of it. I would love to finish one of her quilts one day. Every time I pick up something to think about tossing it, I see her tiny hand stitches on parts and I can’t do it.

I did find this loom in there, complete with constructions on how to make this GROOVY PONCHO!

I really want to make it. Never done any kind of crocheting so I don’t know what kind of pain I’m in for attempting it. I do have some yarn from other projects I’m going to play with to see if I can even wrap my head around the loom to make the basic flower squares, before I go out and buy more yarn.

Thursday I was a mess.

I had an appointment after work. Just a check-in. But I was sooo anxious over it. I woke up that morning with a migraine and my stomach in knots. After it was over (it was fine), I was soooo tired from being amped up all day, and then was still sick to my stomach all night. The migraine continued – and still here today too, I woke up today feel like hot crap, and my stomach has still been messed up off and on all weekend. I dread what the anxiety is going to do to me for the BIG appointment in November.

Yeah last night was weird – woke up to a “boom” around 2ish? Still no idea what it was, several other people talking about it on nextdoor. Sounds like it was possibly a transformer blowing based on other people losing power. I fell back asleep but apparently screamed as I was dreaming – Chase woke me up “are you ok?” LOL I remember my dream – I was at Mema and Daddy Bob’s house, and it was the middle of the night and Chase and I were bringing my dragon con bin down the stairs with no lights on. We got it set in their formal dining room and Chase went back upstairs, while I sat down on the couch in the dark. I looked to my left and there was a completely pitch black shadow man sitting in the chair next to me. In my dream, i got up and ran — I guess in real life, I screamed LOL

Then I couldn’t get back to sleep, i tossed and turned, my stomach hurting again. Took some tums and finally got back to sleep only to be woken up at 6AM with the neighbors stupid fucking dog barking and migraine pounding again.

Anyway – this weekend we did the first white backdrop shoot of the year! We did my disneybound Leia and Rogue, two easy ones. Ran some errands. Got Molly’s for dinner. Sunday we went to a pop up at Paradox, went around to a few other stores, got a smoothie, got a donut, I got the cutest pumpkin holder shaped like a cat that I didn’t take a pic of.

Came home, napped, cleaned a bit, cooked.

I have absolutely nothing on the docket this week or weekend. Planning to do another set of photos this coming weekend – Space Mutiny and Picnic padme. Going to do Morticia last, on a different day, since it requires different makeup. I don’t know that I’ll shoot anything extra this year or not. Everything old needs work I don’t feel like doing. There’s two more recent reshoots I’d like to do – Dr Crusher with the restyled wig and TFA Leia with the updated underdress. I was hoping to save TFA for when I redid the outer dress, but either of those would be easy to throw on while we still have the backdrop up. We’ll see. I doubt I have the energy. I think I’d rather just get everything wrapped up with just the new stuff and focus on getting the house organized and this new craft room set up.

I am thinking about next projects though. I think I am finally committing to my Endor Leia remake, after talking about it for years – because Chase is doing a biker scout next year. So we might as well match since I already have all the materials. I’m going to get going on that once I get the sewing room put back together.

And then kinda thinking about Tatooine Poncho Padme next year. I’m not planning to do anything new specifically for Celebration – I have too much other stuff I wanna take and not enough time — but we are considering doing Rebel Scum Con next summer, so I’d be doing it for that.

Speaking of — I’ve been keeping my ear to the ground about Rebel Scum Con — it looked really fun this year. So when they released hotel room blocks last week, I went to check it out and get pricing. Chase and I have been talking about and considering it (since we’re taking off Dragon Con next year) but he was on the fence.

Ok so here is what happened. I had opened the Westin booking page NOT signed in with my marriott account just to get pricing, but I couldn’t find anywhere if it was charging the price NOW or later upon booking. So I went back to the facebook group, read around, opened the link again in a new window and signed into Marriott just to see if that showed more info. So I have 2 windows with the booking stuff open. Talked to Chase about it, we decided to look at it later. I went back and read at the facebook group some more, closed what I THOUGHT was the window where I was signed in. Did some other stuff. Came back to that other booking window I had open and just thoughtlessly clicked “continue” or “next” or whatever the button was, thinking I’d be going to a checkout page where I might see more info… nope, I booked it, because that was the window where I was signed in to my marriott account with all of my info already prefilled. OOOPS. I panicked, tried closing the window before it completed, no dice, there it was in my bonvoy, and in my email. I called Chase in a panic because I didn’t want him to think I did this on purpose because I wanted to go and he wasn’t sure! LOL

Thankfully it doesn’t look like it charged anything, so we have the room booked and can decide later. I would really like to go, but it just depends on finances esp after Celebration.

For years now – like literally 2 decades – I’ve wanted to take all of my Leia costumes to Celebration and wear them in order. Like start the weekend out with senatorial, then ceremonial, then hoth, then bespin, then boushh, then huttslayer, etc. That’s never worked out for a Celebration obviously, we’ve never been to a full weekend Celebration since 2005 (and I guess we still aren’t next year LOL) But maybe I could get close at Rebel Scum Con. I don’t know that I’d do it completely since I also have Padmes I want to wear and maybe Breha and Shin… and I wouldn’t take Huttslayer, but I could get close. It’d be fun.

Anyway I’ve rambled on enough this morning, I need to eat so my migraine meds start working. Next week I’ll have some new photoshoot pics up yay.
