I was really excited to get to this one – the one reference I had was a pretty small, undetailed comic panel, so I thought it’d be really fun to add some more detail to this, especially since the shapes were leaning very art nouveau/Mucha. But it turned out to be a little difficult. I’m not completely happy with the end result but I think a lot of that is from the colours – which I didn’t really want to change since that was directly from the comic panel. I think I ever go back and add more detail/painting to this one, it’ll really help – adding some fabric textures to the dress and capelet I think would really tie everything together better.
