Movie Rogue came! And Slave Leia updates

My Chinese Sweatshop Rogue costume arrived yesterday (after days of fighting with the post office). It's kinda nice to just have a costume magically appear on your doorstep, LOL. It's pretty nice for what it is, and for what I paid. The only problem was that it was too big. It fit kinda ok through the chest and shoulders and sleeves (a tad big), but from the chest down, it ...

Endor Leia and Boushh progress

Got the colouring on the poncho about half done. Got my Boushh pants put together - I just need to put elastic for my foot on the bottom, and do the quilted/pleated/whatever they are sections on the knees (my favourite part of the costume!) But, mostly spent last night sewing on bloodstripes and watching Hot Fuzz. good times.

Endor Leia, Boushh, KC WW Progress Pics

A new batch of progress pics. Spikes for my Boushh gloves came yesterday... My endor donut (with the unattached bill sitting underneath it), base helmet I need to finish and one of my Boushh boot tops that isn't finished. More Boushh Boushh armour about to be painted. KC WW helmet molds Endor poncho yesterday, drying in the sun before getting another set of colour... and before getting bleached again because ...

Progress on everything

well, i can no longer get on the internet at home, something is wrong with my laptop's wireless thingie. I can use dad's computer, though, but I hate being cooped up in the computer room. I suppose it's a blessing - keeps me working. Endor Leia - finished sewing the pleated section on the base helmet - donut is finished, except for adding the bill. Tonight I'm hoping to finish ...

KC WW, Endor Leia, Boushh, and Marasiah Progress

Chase clear-coating the Wonder Woman helmet sculpt again before it gets cast. My endor trooper Leia helmet donut as it was yesterday evening - since then it's been weathered and the red/yellow symbol added. Still needs a bit more weathering, but I'm very pleased. Boushh helmet getting its first shot of paint. Like the endor donut, this has since been weathered and is going back under for more weathering ...

Kingdom Come Wonder Woman Helmet progress

Here's a few more pics of the WW helmet in progress, plus a pic of our workroom I left out. Chase started the sculpt over a year ago - we were hoping to finish it for Dragoncon 2006. Around this time last year we realised there was no way we were going to get it done, so it sat around half-finished for the next several months (including enduring Chase's move from ...

Funeral Padme updates

I got off work early today... so I came home, ate some lunch, and actually got some work done. I went outside and played with the dye... another layer of dye on my endor poncho, and navy on the funeral cape. If they both stay as they are, I'll be happy. I think the poncho will be fine - but I think the cape will dry lighter than I want, ...

Progress & Schedules

Well, I wrote out my packing list last night. And right now I'm apparently trying to take 18 costumes to Dragoncon. So, it's gotta be cut somewhere. At least by 3. I'm ok taking 15, but not 18! Anyway - I haven't done much lately. Work has been absolutely exhausting this week (I've been the only one in the back this week, basically, where-as usually I have 2 people to help me, but they're both ...

HP Book Release, KC WW Helmet!

Been busy with Harry Potter stuff -- no pics from the bookstore party, since I forgot to get my camera out of the car. I wore Hermione and burnt up, since we ended up standing outside in line most of the night. There weren't many interesting costumes, either -- we had a really good Snape there, an Umbridge, and... a really terrible Darth Vader. Go figure. I wore the whole ...
