As I mentioned in last week’s posts, I had a stomach bug or something last week after getting back from NYC. Even after getting past the pukey-ness and stomach cramps, I still was exhausted and had no appetite. Saturday we had to run a few errands and that was the end of that day for me. We were supposed to have family game night that night but I was too tired. Plus Chase has been getting over a head cold. And then Nana and Kristie’s dog Lucy (who has had some medical problems that past year) took a turn for the worse and they had to take her to the vet and say goodbye. So not a great start to Christmas.
Sunday morning we were getting ready to head to Jackson for our Christmas Eve lunch when mom called. She has covid. She sounded awful. So of course they weren’t going. I hadn’t seen them since Wednesday night but Chase and I tested anyway and both negative, so we went on to lunch. It was a small crowd because another part of the fam had a stomach bug too and stayed home.

Headed home, took a nap, then started on dinner. Dinner was the most I’d eaten in days, we had a good steak and potatoes au gratin and we watched the Eras tour movie together.

Our Christmas gifts to each other were our ipads, so we didn’t have much of anything to open. We did do stockings, Chase got his usual christmas haul.
Chase got me these LOL The “this is literally me” is a magnet that is for my car. The “feral driver” is a sticker which I’ll either put on my dragoncon bin or save for my next laptop (which should hopefully be within the next year)

Of course with mom sick, it was decided to cancel our Christmas day plans. Chase and I still made our usual Christmas morning sausage casserole and took it out to my parents so they had breakfast. But that was the only thing we did all day. Christmas lunch with the other side of the fam is going to be New Year’s now.
So we just hung around the house all day. Ate leftovers. Thankfully had a homechef to cook for dinner.

Spent the evening watching an MST3k livestream and trying to get some more photoshoot pics uploaded. It’s taking longer than usual, my laptop is not playing nice with photoshop lately so it’s taking forever to remove the floor seams and whatnot.
But I’ll have my 2023 wrap up post coming up here soon. Maybe tomorrow maybe tomorrow.
