I never did come back with a picture of the wig because I forgot to take one. So I took one this morning.
I need to brush the wig out really well. It has been manhandled a lot recently so I need to get it looking nice again. I’ll probably rebraid the front, too, and I’m going to find some kind of ribbon or trim to glue around the base of the horns, to hide the holes. Other than that, ready to go.
I got some smaller beads for Donna Unicorn & Wasp – from here on out I’m just referring to this as U&W ok? It’s too much to type otherwise. I started playing around with some of the beading.
I’m using some of the larger gold beads in clusters, as you can see. Those are the ones I originally had for doing all over, but they were too large. Those clustered spots look like they should probably be more like some gold embroidery, but I like the look of the beads, so I think I’m going to stick with that.
This is moving much faster than last year thanks to the serpentine stitch. It may not be exactly what I wanted — but, fingers crossed things keep moving and I can actually wear this at Dragoncon this year.
