It would figure; the simplest costume is the one I screw up.
It really needs some tweaks before I wear it again – I was really unhappy with the way the trim was laying especially on the bustline, so I want to switch out for something not so bulky that will lay flat. It was also causing the back to hang funny.
Also needs rehemmed – it was too long to be strictly comfortable just wearing around. I had to pick it up to walk anywhere. It looked pretty when I was standing still though LOL
Aaaaand I f’ed up one of the seams on the side. Needs to unpicked and resewn.
There’s always one costume that suffers in the mad rush of Dragoncon prep, and it looks like this one was it this year. Which is really too bad – it’s the only costume I brought that was cool and easy to wear, and I was so unhappy with it that I hardly wore it.
But, the problems are totally fixable. Once I do some small tweaks on it, it’ll be great.
