home alone… time to dress up the dog

I was home along last night since Chase was shooting, so I remade the outside layer of my bodice. (pluuss I got the fabric for $5 and it’s what I wanted originally, the same as I used for my 2009 Wonder Woman, couldn’t find it first time I went shopping for this.)
So anyway, I got it cut out thursday night and sewn together last night, got the stitching done and started back in on the stars:

Here's the new outer layer for the bodice. I did the bulk of the detail stitching on the machine, but I went over the stars with some embroidery floss to bring them out a little more.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram
This afternoon I’ll finish the stars up, and get it attached to the base, finish the edges and put the grommets in.

My boots came in. Check out these KLASSY boots.

Here's the cheapo boots I bought for this costume. They were not the best option. While I was about to fix some of the slouchiness, I wasn't able to get them completely straightened out. But hey - $10 is $10.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram
They were on sale AND they are already pointed at the knee (hard to tell in this pic, but it’s there.) So I’ll snip all that lovely extra stuff off, repaint the heel and make covers for the rest. Don’t know if I’ll paint the zipper at this point, that maybe something to do later on.

Kevin’s Doctor Who bowtie came in, too.

Also, this is happening:

Since the jacket was a freebie, I just bought a cheap wig on ebay to wear with this. I'm colouring in the roots with brown sharpie. My Rose Tyler (Doctor Who) costume, from October 2011.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram
