Hippolyta thoughts

Only got 3 pics of Hippolyta at the con and I look dead on my feet in everyone of them LOL
But anyway – I’m really surprised it came together as well as it did, considering Chase didn’t finish the tiara, shoulder pieces, gauntlets and chestpiece until the night before, and we had to figure out the attachments in the hotel room.

Was really happy with my wig.
The main issue is that too much of my base bodice is showing on the side. I tried to get the silver up to the point where I thought the chestpiece would be, but obviously I was way off. I’m going to have to pick up some more silver leather and cover that section.
Chase wants to work on all the “hard” pieces some more – he didn’t get to sand and shape them as much as he wanted, and it wants to do the shiny gold paint (we didn’t have time for it, it takes multiple layers).
The white drapey thing… needs to be thinner. easy fix.
Skirt turned out ok. It was hard to sit down. I need to throw it on my dressform, get it damp and wrap it again, to form the leather around the hip shape a little more. I did that closer to the top, but I need to do it a little lower down. Also that one right next to the center one kept wanting to stick out too much, I think I’ll reposition it – that’s also an easy fix.
All the designs on the corset are disappearing in the flash – I still want to back and do them in a different way. Also want to pull up part of the silver leather and get it stretched a little higher. The chestpiece was squishing it down and making it wrinkle where they meet.

I really can’t wait to get this cleaned up and ready to wear again. I’m really happy with it and all the fixes are fairly minor. It was also surprisingly comfortable.
