So my Lady Gaga is not going to be that good. My shoes and bodysuit are going to be rushed and not right – my wig’s not going to be right – and I don’t have enough hoops for the outside. My skirt’s not great, the seams didn’t match up even though I freaking did them all together and pinned them all at the same time on top of each other to make sure they would be.
But it is what it is… a lot of people have said “just finish it after dragoncon” – but I know me, and my short attention span – if I don’t finish it now, I’ll probably never finish it. I really don’t have another convention it fits into except dragoncon, and if I wait a year I’m not going to be interested anymore. BUT… I know if I LIKE the costume after I wear it, I might do upgrades, like I did with Belle and Slave Leia over the years. I could always add more hoops and make a new bodysuit later on.
I may wear it friday morning instead of Surprise #1 – because there’s no way I can fit on a crowded saturday night elevator in that costume LOL. I’m going to have to play it by ear and see how low a floor we’re on… if we’re low enough and I can walk down the stairs, then I can wear it whenever.
Anyway – last night I got the skirt put together. Tonight I put the zipper in and make the waistband, then get it on the cage and stitch it in place. I’ve got to finish the shoes and the bodysuit and figure out what I’m going to do about the wigs.

Lady Gaga:
Figure out wig. I may make a post on it tonight to get ideas.
Finish skirt and stitch it in place.
Finish bodysuit (can’t decide if I want to make it cover my head like the original does.)
Start beading and sequining bodysuit. At this point it’s all mostly going to be glued on, I don’t have time to sew them all in place.
Finish the other shoe.
Glue hoops together, attach snaps to corset and hoops.
Surprise #1:
Finish beading
Attach “swoops” to collar
Make tiara
(there’s so much STUFF on this dress… I can’t decide if it’s awesome or incredibly ugly LMAO)
Surprise #2:
Figure out attachment of shoulder piece, get it attached
Gather cape, attach
attach snaps
Magik:

Ms Marvel:
attach boots to tights
Starfire:
stitch bra into place
clean up wig
glue new beads on the brooch (a bunch fell out)
Sew boots back onto the bodysuit
Black Canary:
attach straps
Donna Troy, Mara Jade as Arica, and Black Widow are done. Jane and Wonder Woman don’t need any clean-up. I may go ahead and finish up Ms Marvel and attach straps to Black Canary tonight so I can have enough to feel good to start packing (so I can get stuff out of my office.)
