where did you get a loaf of bread
I love starting off my Monday with a teams message… Them: “Are you available for a call today?” Me: (ugh) “Yes, in regards to…?” Them: (Insert questions about some process I am completely unfamiliar with) Why are you asking ME? Oh god there’s some much backstory to the reason why I’m so befuddled why they are asking ME I can’t…

DISAPPOINTED
We just have some bad fucking luck with Star Wars Celebration. From the shitty experience at Celebration 2005 (bad weather, couldn’t get into anything), to not being able to go in 2007 because of our wedding planning, to having a hotel for Chicago and then not having the money to drop on tickets when they came out so we missed…

HSV Expo Wrap-up
SORRY it’s taken me so long to get this posted! Work has been crazy and I had a lot of pics to upload between my phone, Chase’s phone and Chase’s real camera and I wanted to wait til I had them all. On Wednesday night last week we picked up Kevin. I had Thursday off and Chase was working a…

star trekkin’
I still don’t have much to talk about this week LOL Tuesday we went to see Project Hail Mary with my parents. I went into it knowing nothing about except Ryan Gosling in a fox sweater, space, and a creature of some sort named Rocky. I loved it! Now I want to read the book – but I’m in the…

hsv expo planning
We’re coming back to HSV Expo this year and since it’s coming up fast… I really need to figure out what costumes I’m bringing. Kevin is bringing his casual Star Lord bound he didn’t get to wear at disney and he requested farmboy Luke. Dunno what Chase is bringing. So after a lot of thought here’s what I’m thinking of…

HSV Expo Wrap-Up and What-nots
Before I jump into the weekend photos, I’ll cover the few things from the week before… I’m going to have to get more fabric to finish the mock-up for Padme. I do think I finally figured out the hood pieces — I transferred the hood and cape mockup pieces to paper. I still need to figure out fitted sleeves, the…

im great at doing stuff

huntsville con report!
Hey look I actually titled a blog post what it’s actually about. Yeah a couple of days late with this. Wanted to gather up all the pics first including the ones from Chase’s camera. So Thursday I get off work and go to take a nap and as I lay down, I get an idea. And I have to go…

Anime Blues Con Post – Part 1
HI! I have a lot to post today. It was a long weekend! And it all started Thursday night, Ash and I had tickets to go see Trixie Mattel! We went and had dinner first and then headed over; we had pretty darn good seats (like 7th row center I think?). It was miserably hot in the venue, the chairs…

MCFC, ‘Tis the Season, a lost ID, lost power, and lost my mind
This weekend was nuts. But let’s ease into it with a picture of Luna. Friday was a normal Friday at work, just steadily busy, until around 2 it was like the world went mad and like 10 hectic problems developed at once. And I had to leave on time because I was on a tight schedule. I ended up leaving…

Anime Expo Memories
This weekend is Anime Expo!! And I’m not going so I don’t know why that warranted two exclamation points. We went to Anime Expo once, in 2003. The way Ash and I managed that was that we talked our parents into doing it as a family vacation. We flew out to LA on… Wednesday I think? And on Thursday we…

Dragoncon Thoughts
So yes, I’m doing DragonCon this year. A little more than last year but still not going up to the full week we used to do. Planning on driving in Friday morning and home Sunday night, staying in Cat’s room. Ash is probably going with me, Chase is staying home. So at the moment I’m thinking of taking: Bespin Leia…

Trip Photos – Round 2
So I wrote the whole trip report out yesterday but of course I only had iphone photos. Today I have our photopass and Chase’s pics uploaded! So here’s a few. Kevin hadn’t met Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny, and we were able to pretty much walk right up and get a photo with them the first day. Honestly I probably…

Home again
We’re home! And I’m sick with a sinus infection AGAIN. I think I’ve come home with a sinus infection from at least 4 of our Orlando trips in the last year. This one is a real bear, it came on Friday night so all day Saturday and Sunday my face HURT. But I’ll get to that later. Let’s start at…

Visioncon!!
Visioncon was awesome, I’m going to try to write everything down before I start forgetting stuff… though I’m sure I’ll still forget something anyhow! Thursday I got home from work and finished packing… It was really like a Dragoncon trip. Had my Dcon bin, 7 garment bags with 2-3 things in each of them, 3 wig boxes, makeup case, our…

VisionCon 2017!
I’ve mentioned it before but here’s my whole big post about it! I will be a guest at VisionCon in a few weeks, Feb 24th-26th! I’m super excited. I have never been to VisionCon and everything I’ve seen looks awesome and the con staff have been wonderful to work with already! I will have a booth in the exhibit hall…

Southern Fried Pics! (and Dolores)
I had a great 3 day weekend just chilling with my grandparents. Went up Thursday after work and we went to eat at Red Lobster… clam chowder yay! I got a decent amount of embroidery work done over the weekend. Still clocking behind where I want to be but I’m starting to feel more confident. Catty Bob was curious but…

MCFC Photos
Better late than never! Disney trip got me behind, just got these from Chase last night and uploaded. There’s not a ton. MCFC 2016 Gallery Mostly Donna photos. The last known photo of my phone *cries* It still hasn’t turned up — hasn’t been turned on or anything, which further reinforces my suspicion that it got kicked somewhere and is…

A weird weekend
This weekend did not go as planned. Friday we were going to go see Fantastic Beasts… but I was still feeling a little under the weather and wanted to save my energy for the con Saturday, so we stayed home. That night, I did finish the Phis and Gracyn that matches the other SunDowner character refs I did a few…

Last round of Photos!
I’ve gotten my portfolio updated — I added Disneybound Leia and Edith! And I got Chase’s photos uploaded! Brainfreeze: Me & Kev Me and Kev Part 2 Walking thru Hollywood Studios Oddly enough, this is now the 2nd photo we have of Kevin being menaced by a blow-up Stay Puft Marshmellow Man. This Guardian of the Galaxy group was one…
