i can’t fight this feeling

Feeling really overwhelmed and tired today.

So besides all the work stuff — which I will tell you all about next week, but just know I’ve got so much going on and it’s making me feel crazy and scattered — Chase had a flat Friday. There’s no repairing it, new tire needed. And he has a dentist appointment today that is going to cost us. And I have my own dentist shit coming up beginning of next month that’s going to be expensive. And I just saw a fraudulent charge from an app I downloaded last week so now I gotta deal with that too. Plus I had not one but TWO mean comments on social media yesterday? Both out of left field and completely stupid, I just deleted and blocked. Just not what I feel like dealing with right now with everything going on.

Anyway, I don’t have Morticia pics to post today, it was too busy last week to get to them. But hopefully later this week. I didn’t have weekend time to look at them because…

Oops, we Atlanta’ed.

My parents had a concert they were going to, and asked if we wanted to go with them. So we did!

We were up bright and early Friday morning at 5AM to get on the road, which is when we discovered Chase’s car tire had a leak. We took it up to the gas station to try putting some air in it, didn’t help, so we had to switch and take my Cooper. I love my Cooper but it is not a road trip car LOL There is nowhere to put anything! But at least we had backup.

We stayed at the Hilton, which staying in one of their rooms makes me mad we didn’t switch to the hilton 15 years ago so I could’ve been legacy at dragoncon because their rooms are soooo much nicer than the marriott’s.

Oh and another hiccup – somehow mom ended up with 3 hotel rooms instead of 2. Thankfully they were able to cancel one.

We got changed and headed to dinner, it was good — got back to the hotel and Chase and I walked over to the CVS in the food court to get some snacks. Forgetting that the food court isn’t usually open at 9PM so we had to go outside. And it was cold outside! We went from 90 something on thursday to cold and windy Friday and Saturday.

There’s still a googly eye on this bathroom sign in the Marriott LOL

Saturday we went to the aquarium. We haven’t been since like, 2011? It was crazy crowded but my parents enjoyed it.

Mom got to see otters

Penguin!

They did not expect to fall back like this LOL

We went and checked out the Halloween festival in Little 5 Points after that. Tried to eat at Vortex but it was a 40 minute wait, so we left and went to the other Vortex with no wait LOL

Haven’t been here since like, 2014?

After that my parents went off to get ready and go to their concert. Chase and I went to a mall, a book store, and then back to the hotel. I was sooo tired and sore by that point after all day of walking!

Also apparently it was Trader Vic’s anniversary that weekend! Wish we’d known in advance, we would’ve tried to get tickets. Was wondering why there were so many fancy tropical-themed people in the lobby that night.

We had breakfast at the Hilton lobby shop and then hit the road. Chase and I had wanted to go to ikea, but didn’t think about the fact they don’t open til 11 on Sunday, so we skipped that. Went to a coffee shop that was really neat:

Then it led us out of town in a really interesting way.

Got home around 3. Chase tried to take his car up to Walmart to see if they could patch it, but they could not. Nail in the sidewall. So he picked up dinner and came home and made an appt at another place for this morning. I read the rest of the night, and we finished the new episodes of Visionquest.

This week, going to try to get the Morticia pics uploaded. Need to reshoot Picnic Padme. This weekend, plans with Ash and Gabe and got Kevin for the weekend to watch scary movies. Hoping it’s chill, it’s been enough lately.
