we’re heading for venus

It’s a Friday check-in and things are looking good but still gonna have to keep moving every free minute.

Let’s update the to-do list:
Work’s driving me crazy. I need a brain cleanser. Here’s an updated to-do list:

Picnic Padme:
-embroider roses on straps
-finish dyeing ribbons (mostly done, I got one more to do – ended up having to order dye, supposed to be here today)
-attach ribbons on sleeves
-tack down sleeve fold over on upper arm
-attach cape to blouse
-finish back edge of bodice (started last night)
-style wig

I still have to add the ribbons but the rest is done. It’s frizzy but whatever at this point.

Morticia:
-finish styling wig
-try everything on

This took way longer than I expected but it’s done. I had to thin it out a LOT because it would look fine on my wighead, I’d put it on and it would just look like a CHUNK.

Rogue:
-touch up wig
-iron on X symbol
-fix boot
-finish attaching belt buckle

Space Mutiny:
-attach my belt buckle
-find my boots
-do test for pauldron
-get pauldrons made and sewn on
-finish taking batting out of his muscle suit

Everything is done on these except finding my boots – and I may have to do something to Chase’s belt. I didn’t realize he never bought the belt we talked about months ago so he had to order something last minute on amazon last night, it arrives Saturday, I may be spending Sunday morning making an addition for it to at least have the right silhouette.

Oh and here’s my wig I didn’t post a pic of last time.

Belle:
-try on with stays

Padme/Taylor:
-finish eyelet panels
-sew in
-try on
-finish sequin repairs
-fix wig (just need to tack in the headbands a little more)

I did make a packing list so I guess I’m committing to the costumes I put on there. I went through my makeup and wig stuff last night and got that organized and packed. Today I’ll start bringing costumes down. Still don’t have the bin out. And I think that’s where my Space Mutiny boots are.

Today’s goals:
-bring costumes downstairs, take embroidery mess in the living room up to my sewing room

Tonight’s goals:
-finish dyeing ribbons
-get Padme bodice back finished
-finish Rogue belt
-fix lake dress wig
-get eyelets set into panels for Padme/Taylor

Tomorrow:
-run errands
-press ribbons
-get ribbon thing made for hair
-get ribbons attached to blouse
-iron on symbol on Rogue shirt
-get eyelet panels set into Padme/Taylor suit
-repairs on the suit
-try everything on

Sunday:
-PACK
-clean house
