Anne Boleyn & other updates

Got the bodice put together on the big green thing, it was giving me fits last night, about to drive me crazy. I think I've got enough leaves from the last poison ivy leftover to do the next. It doesn't need as many leaves. I've got the bodysuit to dye, I think I'm going to have to go buy a few vines, though. In a quandary over Scarlet Witch - ...

Dragoncon costume updates

Everything i'm doing for Dragoncon is still so up in the air. We're trying to buy a house soon - like, very soon, by the end of July soon LOL I've been working as much as I can, but it's been difficult, we've been stuck house-sitting for almost 3 weeks, which has been a pain considering we need to be packing and everytime I try to sew, I get a ways ...

Bodycasting, & New Belle & Padme Pics

In order to do my new Wonder Woman parts, Chase wanted to take a body cast of me. (Also will be for things in the future) So we did that today... it was so gross. And the best part? I totally passed out. For just a second or two, but I've never passed out before in my life, even last year when my anemia was so bad. Luckily no damage ...

Cable Show & Photoshoot Photo dump

I know I haven't actually updated on any sewing for a while - but that's coming very soon I promise :) Chase was asked to take part in this cable trade show for Turner networks in Washington DC, as one of several clonetroopers in their booth. I got to tag along as a handler :) It was nice quick little trip, we'll have to go back sometime since we didn't really have ...

Superhero Summer camp

Just got back from playing Wonder Woman at a kid's summer camp! It was fun. They have different themes every week - this week was "Superheroes." I got off work around 2 and headed up there, got my costume on. They stuck my cousin David in a rented Batman suit - it was HILARIOUS. We answered questions from the kids "What's your favourite vegetable?" "Do you own any super cars?" "Can ...

2007 in review

Well since I'm mostly done for the year - outside of my little secret project - I'm gonna go ahead and post this. I've had it done for a while actually LOL At the beginning of the year, this is what I wanted to accomplish... keeping in mind that when I wrote this, Chase hadn't proposed yet and changed a lot of our plans for the year!! 1. Ceremonial Leia v.2 ...

Halloween 2007 Pics

These are all from saturday :D First we headed over to the Grotto to takes pics of Wonder Woman. As I said before, since I was already going to be wearing it that day, and Saturday was what I thought was probably going to be our last warm day (it's not, all this week is going to be warm, yay!) we thought we'd go ahead and take some nice pics ...

More Dragoncon 2007 pics

I added about 40 more Dragoncon pics to our gallery - basically I was bored at work, went back through the photos I didn't use (either because they were too similar to ones I'd already posted, weird, or blurry, etc). I found a few more to upload - here's a few of them. Cath's breakfast saturday morning. Yay for smiling at the right camera. All the added photos should be at ...

DRAGONCON 2007, PART TWO!

Saturday morning dawned annoyingly early. We had to get up at 7:30 in order to get up and dressed for the parade. Cath was smart - she got up, got dressed and got herself out of there before we even got started! I was going to wear Boushh for the 501st picture, and then walk with the helmet off with the Rebel Legion, since Chase was wearing part of his Han ...

DRAGONCON 2007 PICS!

Well, actually I'll start on Thursday :) Thursday morning was a mess, I was running every which way trying to finish packing, finish a few non-costumey projects (Costume Monkey shirts for the girls) and getting the van loaded before Chase got home at noon. My boxes and stuff, almost packed. My cousin Catherine was volunteering this year. She needed to actually be there Thursday morning but was unable to make it, ...
