So, haven't had much to post lately. I finished up the main part of Ash's Mary costume, I'm quite happy with how it turned out. We just need to get her shirt fabric, and making the shirt won't take long. Hem her skirt and weather it all and we're good to go and I can mark another one off my list. I have finally finished the sleeves, and started attaching them. I decided to re-do mine, again, since I am a masochist, apparently. But, here's a photo of the robes this past weekend when I put a hoop in the bottom to see how it looked. We still need to buy cotton for the underrobes, the velvet for the upper cape/collar section, and figure out the belts.
Three Time Lord robes in-progress Derek's needs the sleeve pieces sewn together, Chase's has the sleeves cut but I need to go through and put the stabilizer and interfacing and lining on. I took mine apart to recut the lining of the main body and the sleeves. I've got one other side to unpick tonight, then I can cut the new pieces and get it put back together. And while ...
This weekend Derek came down and we worked on Time Lord stuff! Got some work done on the first collar... And I got Derek's robe done pretty far along! I fixed some issues I had on mine . For his, I still need to finish the other pieces of the sleeves, put it together, and sew both sleeves together and put them on. I've started on Chases's with what leftover fabric ...
So here's what I got done this weekend! This was the main robe on Friday... And then with one pinned on sleeve... Tonight will be another sleeve and then start working on the collar.
Not a lot to mention recently. I posted on my main page that I got my Batgirl mask! I'm so excited about it. I'm doing the new 52 version, mostly because I like the purple cape. I've only barely started planning it; I've ordered some swatches for the suit and I'm going to start patterning it soon. I got my Romana wig in the mail! I'm pretty happy with it. It's ...
