My fingertips are burnt off

Everytime I have a lot of hand-sewing to do, my fingertips get so sore they feel like they are burnt. That's how they feel today. So yeah that's mostly what I did this weekend. Hand-sewing and beading on Tink. Didn't use my sewing machine once because everything left had to be done by hand. Did a whole lot more beading. Hand-sewed down the rest of the mesh along the waist. ...

Peter Pan Pants Pattern

I hope nobody finds this post by googling "Peter Pan Pants Pattern" because I'm not actually talking about Peter Pan's pants pattern. It's just something Kevin and I kept saying last weekend as a tongue twister LOL So I've spent the bulk of this week focusing on finishing up Peter Pan. Tuesday I was all like "I'm going to finish ALL of it tonight!" and then that didn't happen, so ...

A 4 day weekend…

Ahh gosh I don't remember what I posted about last time. Last week was mostly working on the Leia I was making for a friend. That's my new one on the left, hers on the right. I got it finished up on Thursday - and now I want to redo parts of mine, LOL. Namely that I made the dress a bit slimmer through the chest/waist. I want to ...

My Fav Padme Costumes

I don't know why but I got the thought in my head to make a post ranking all of Padme's costumes. I thought it would be fun. It ended up being really hard, LOL. Because honestly there's nothing I dislike. If given the chance I would make probably any of these. I think they are all pretty in their own way (except for... maybe like the 2 I listed last). So ...

80s Murder Mystery, House stuff, Leia progress

Friday night we had a birthday party to go to! And we were going to be playing an 80s Murder Mystery game, so we had to come as our characters. I was "Toni Oregano" who had 1 hit with "Hey Dickie" and who also ran a mogwai rescue. LOL. Chase was "Nork from Pork" who was on a popular tv series but now believes he's actually from planet Pork. I put ...

Happy Birthday Sims

When I did my birthday blog stuff last month, I had considered doing a post just about Sims stuff... but decided I didn't have enough content and just folded some of it into the "weird stuff" post. But then today I found out the Sims turned 18 on Feb 4! So what the heck, I thought I'd go ahead and show some of my fav Sims posts and screencaps from over the ...

a waste of a day

Friday Chase and I used our moviepass for the first time and went to see I, Tonya. It was good but the theater was FREEZING. Usually in the winter I take a blanket with me... I got this tiny little Olaf blanket from the Disney Movie Club a couple of years ago that fits in my purse and I can cover my legs up with it. But the past couple ...

OK SO!

Birthday blog month is over. Site look has been updated. Still need to update the art segment but I'll get to that in a bit here. Back to Tink! Round one of dyeing didn't turn out dark enough. So back in the dye once more. Better. I was left looking like I was ready to play Elphaba though. I didn't even realize I'd dripped it down my arms too until ...

Birthday Blog: Thank You!

So I know that my site and blog have changed a lot over 20 years. From fanart, SunDowner and screaming about college in 3 posts a day, to 2 years worth of online quiz results, to talking about nothing but costumes and housework. (Seriously you guys have no idea how many quiz result posts from 2007-2009 I deleted when I ported my blogger posts over.) My blog and website are mostly just here ...
