The good: I have seen Spider-man and it was glorious. I was already somewhat spoiled (by choice. I was digging through marvel subreddits for months sniffing out details) but it was so much more than I thought it was going to be and very emotional. Loved it. Definitely best Spider-man.
The bad: today is my uncle’s funeral. 🙁
The good: This weekend we got to hang out with Ash for her birthday and then Sunday we had to lunch to celebrate my great-uncle Buddy’s 101st birthday! 101! Can you believe it.
The bad: It is sunny and cold out today, I hate it.
Saturday we met Krampus
Also ran a bunch of errands to pick up Christmas stuff. Got stymied at the last couple of places we needed — power outage so they were closed.

We also ran to Joann to finally get the bias tape I’ve been needing to finish up Utena. I did get the sleeves sewn on last week, I’m worried they are too short, but if they are I can add an extension to the end, it would be covered by the cuffs. But that’s all I had time to do, I’ve been working on christmas presents most of this week that I can’t show yet.
Thursday is a half day for me, planning on doing another white backdrop shoot that night. Then after Christmas I can get my sewing room cleaned up a bit (it’s chaos right now) and maybe get the bulk of Utena sewing done over the long New Year’s weekend. It’s not going to be finished-finished, I still haven’t bought a wig, haven’t 3d printed any of the accessories, but close enough.

Also I had to go back and lighten and re-upload some of the ones I posted last week — once I viewed them on my desktop computer I realized some of them were really dark and I hadn’t lightened the background enough down to make it look white, they were very grey. So if anything I posted last week isn’t working, I’ll get it fixed soon.
So this week I’m shooting my 4 dragoncon costumes (Padme, Wanda, Roxy, and Diane) then hoping New Year’s weekend can pick up a few older things I need shot: Raddus Bridge Leia, Mothman, reshoot Bespin Leia and/or Jedi Leia, Rose Tyler. If I can get those done that’s everything I haven’t gotten on the white backdrop (or wanted to reshoot) from the last 10 years. Anything else would need too much work to have ready in the next couple of weeks.
So I guess next post will be after Christmas, so Merry Chrysler, Happy Honda days, whatever you want.
