this time baby ill be bulletproof

I once again skipped posting on Monday because I had nothing of importance to post. I did actually sew a little bit last night so I’m posting today.

I spent most of yesterday afternoon listing stuff on ebay. For a couple of months now we’ve been stacking stuff we want to sell/donate in the dining room, and I just hadn’t had the energy to start anything with it.

Here’s the link of what I have listed so far: ebay listings.

So far I’ve got a few metal lunchboxes (2 LOTR, Saved by the Bell), an Ahsoka plush, a bunch of manga (Gunsmith Cats, Oh My Goddess, Paradise Kiss), and Utena manga and a rare Utena plastic poster that I’ve always loved but never even really displayed because I didn’t want to mess it up. Also a few Disney shirts, a Zatanna Cover Girls Adam Hughes statue, Chase’s Henry VIII doublet, and my first gen Tightrope Walker collar.

This was the first one I made and then decided I didn’t like the fit so I made another one. I found it when going through some boxes the other day and figured I’d throw it out there.

So I mentioned I did do some sewing yesterday. I finally got back to my Padme shrug… Got the front hem cut down, hemmed and pressed.

I’ll work on the back tonight. I think I could finish it tonight.

And good news, my spoonflower fabric finally shipped so maybe i’ll have it by this weekend.

Speaking of weekend, what did I do this past weekend? Well I went up to my sewing room to work on the padme shrug and got distracted by reorganizing. I cleaned and reorganized everything.

Redid all the shelves on my white ikea shelf, redid everything in the built in cabinets, redid my art storage, redid my white wardrobe storage. SOmething that’s needed to be done for a while, especially after bringing home the record player/stereo, which displaced a lot of fabric and stuff.

I’ve really got to finish up Chase’s shorts this week too. I meant to do that this weekend as well but reorganizing took over.

I’ve been on a “throw it all away” bender.

I threw away my old Marasiah Fel bodice/back skirt piece, my old Aurora bodice, the old interior bodice pieces from the pink Georgian Belle costume I took out a few years ago. I hung onto those things thing I could reuse them but I don’t need them. Got a big box of trash from my sewing room I need to somehow get downstairs now.

Saturday we ran a few errands and at Costco in the bread section I found Baby Yoda.

So I got him. Along with steak and cokes. What else do you need.

I feel like I haven’t bought anything silly in a while so… this was a treat yo’self moment.

Saturday night we had a “date night” with a special treat.

We hadn’t done a cheese fondue since we were at the old house! Chase learned this copycat recipe from the Melting Pot years and years ago and I’d usually ask for it for my birthday. So I’ve missed it! But… when we went to start getting everything ready, we pulled down the fondue pot out of the cabinet and… it was missing the power supply. Looked high and low for it and couldn’t find it. We ended up jumping in the car and getting to Bed Bath and Beyond 10 minutes before they closed and buying a new one.

But that now gives us 2 fondue pots so we were able to do a chocolate fondue for dessert after the cheese without having to clean out the cheese LOL.

Movie update! What have we watched lately?
1. Weird Science. I’d never seen it and Chase wanted me to. It was cute but definitely a product of its time.
2. Duck Soup. I wanted to rent Duck Soup for our fondue night, but the rental place didn’t have it! But I dug around and found my copy so we still got to watch it.
3. The Philadelphia Story, only half way through this. This is what I rented when they didn’t have Duck Soup. I’ve seen it but it’s been a long time.

Mostly I’ve just been having a lot of fun sticking Kevin’s face on stuff in reface.

And here’s me as Harley Quinn. One of the few with me I was pretty happy with.

And Kevin as Thor.

And I do have new art! I started on the lineart for this “Padme” earlier this year – from the Vader comics where he thought Padme was still alive. But then of course in the next issue it turned out to be Sabe. I’d already drawn the face as Natalie so I just kinda set it aside. But last week I dug it back out, redrew the face as Keira and finished it really fast so I could post it at the end of my Padme project on instagram.

It’s not my fav I’ve done, I think because I rushed it so much. It was hard to get back into the groove of how I was doing these also. But I want to do a few more Padmes so it was good practice. I’ll add it to the gallery soon.
