it’s a very useless post

Hey so remember how last Monday’s post I talked about being sick with a head cold? Well just repeat that because I still have this freaking head cold. I was feeling much better by Friday of last week but then Saturday it came back with a vengeance – or rather, it came back with a migraine. I just felt absolutely awful all day Saturday, so that sucked.

I say all that to say – I haven’t really done much in the past week. I worked on the snoods for the Leia comic costume and finally finished the first one last night… only to decide I didn’t like it and scrapped it.

The start of the first version

Close to the end of the first version.

Last night I got all the ends trimmed, looped over, and a piece of elastic run through. It was just too sparse looking.

So I’m onto version 2, this time I’m laying all the strips down evenly and taping them down to keep it tighter looking. If this doesn’t work, I’m switching to just buying some fabric. HOnestly that’s what I should do either way but I’m gonna keep trying this.

And that’s literally all the costume stuff I’ve done for a week. I DID just order some fabric for one of my disneybounds and that’ll be here this week… so I’m hoping to just knock that out this weekend.

Last Monday we finally took Kevin to Dave & Buster’s for his Christmas present!

IT was much busier than when we took him in October, and our play points didn’t seem to stretch as far. (I think last time we went on half points night and didn’t realize it). But I’m hoping to take him back again in the near future. It’s really fun to go with him and just let him play what he wants.

Friday went over to my parent’s house to watch Picard. It was good! I’me excited for episode 2.

Lurker.

OK and now it’s time for Sims corner.
I got bored of my Star Trek family. I made a new Star Wars family and got bored of them, too.
So I made a Cats family. Like Old Deuteronomy, Rum Tum Tugger, etc. I made them all look like weird mutants in weird outfits and I set them up on a empty lot with a lot of crates, backdrops, a dance floor, and bushes to pee in.

Old Deuteronomy slips and falls in the mud.

They actually did pretty well living off the land. A bunch of them got struck by lightning during a thunderstorm but nobody died. I ended up having to give them a few beds because they didn’t like the park benches. And they ended up getting an outdoor shower. they had a grill for food. And they were actually all pretty happy for a time. Old Deuteronomy died of old age. JennyanyDots and… one of them, I can’t remember who, had a baby. I don’t even remember what I named her but ever since aging into a child she looks like the sister from Arthur. (The cartoon. I don’t know her name. Never watched it.)

So everything was fine and dandy until it became winter. And then they started freezing to death. I was able to save a couple of from death by having some of the other cats beg the Grim Reaper for their life, but not everybody – Mr. Mistoffelees and Macavity both died of the cold. (Rum Tum Tugger died twice but was brought back). They seem to be able to warm themselves up by dancing so I just made them all dance a lot. So now I’ve got 6 cats left and it’s spring. We’ll see how they do going forward.

Oh and here’s some weird glitches.

Magical child tortures Bustopher Jones
(they were supposed to be playing so the kid would be on his back. But he didn’t pick the kid up but was still doing all the animations.)

And I have no idea what this super creep is doing. It’s just a random sim who got stuck behind the pee bush. He wouldn’t leave. I wanted to keep playing til he just died stuck there but I was tired and saved the game and signed off last night. I hope he’s still stuck there when I come back.
