They can’t all be good titles ok?

I ended up liking just the lineart better than the finished thing so I’m glad I took a screencap of it.
I did a little more than that but didn’t like it so I’m leaving it like that one.
In other news a couple of weeks ago I finally figured out how to work the portfolio that came with my theme. So I have that linked up in the menu now as an alternate to looking through my costume page. I may go back and add everything I’ve made to it since I can link to anything, so I wouldn’t have to have a page for it set up, I could just link to a blog post.
I got a good bit done on Mon Mothma last night- I got the brown linen cut for the underdress – I decided full underdress would be the easiest thing. And I’m really kinda digging the idea of making a blue surcote (surcoat? google is fighting me on this spelling) to go over it. But that’s a project for way later.
I used the same pattern for this that I used for Merida – it was still out and all the pieces were cut so that was the easiest thing. Got rid of some of the train. I got the panels sewn together last night, I still have to hem it and put the sleeves in. I’m not going to finish the neckline until I get the neckline of the white tunic finished – so I can make sure I don’t need to cut the underdress’s neckline down a little first.
Also need to press everything cuz I didn’t do any of that last night whatsoever.
And, it is SO HEAVY. Haha.
Here it is with the tunic back over the top:
So my to-do list for now is:
-finish neckline of tunic. I think it needs to be a little larger/wider.
-Sew the pick-ups in place on the sleeves. Right now they are just pinned.
-Hem the sleeves
-Take up the sides a bit? Not sure. Might need to, might not.
-Hem bottom of the tunic
-Get sleeves into underdress, get them hemmed
-Make white sleeves, add them to the tunic
-Hem underdress
-Get neckline cut down if needed, facing put in
And that will be pretty much all the sewing on this costume. I think that is all stuff I can finish this week.
After that,
-Find materials for chains/necklace/collar thingie
-Find shoes (goodwill trip)
-Buy wig – I have one picked out, just need to buy it.
I’m happy with how quickly this is going together. Hopefully nothing goes wrong *knocks on wood*
