Craziness

Let’s start on Friday.

Friday after work, we loaded up the car with costumes and Kevins and drove up to my grandparent’s house in Jackson. Had a quick dinner with them (which Kevin enjoyed because he got spaghetti) then back home for the evening.

Saturday we got up, went and had breakfast, did a little running around. The bookstore up there that usually does Free Comic Book Day (and invites us out to troop it) didn’t do it this year, but I did pick up some comics anyway:

And Kevin Hulked out:

After a nap, I started getting into Amidala – I should have given myself longer with my hair because all of my buns were slightly messy and the bottom two were uneven. Buuuuuuut otherwise for a 10 year old costume it looked great. Kevin wore the jedi.

Chase took a bunch of pics, I should have them soon, these are just iphone pics.

We hung around and took pictures for a little over an hour, then we headed home to clean up, change clothes and get some dinner with Mema & Daddy Bob (Red Robin!)

Sunday we got up, loaded the car, had breakfast at Perkin’s and then hit the road – I was worried about Luna, we left her home alone over the weekend for the first time. She had people checking on her but I was still worried! She was fine, of course.

That night we went out to eat for dad’s birthday! He got sung to and got to wear the birthday sombrero.

And now that I got all of the fun stuff out of the way.
Unfortunately, yesterday morning, my grandfather (who is still recovering from major surgery on his neck/radiation treatment there) tore a blood vessel while changing his bandage. He was rushed into surgery, where they got the bleeding under control, and had to do a skin graft over his neck. He’s in the ICU now – I spent this morning sitting with him and my grandmother. He’s in a good deal of pain but thankfully everything seems to be under control for now.
