Skirt, finally

Last night I sat down and pleated the skirt, finally.

The skirt is finally attached!! I cartridge pleated it and had to handsew it in place, as it was too thick to go through the machine.Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

Cartridge pleated it, then had to handsew it to the bodice. It was too thick to go through the machine. I’ll probably go back over it again a few times just to be safe.

Tonight, I’m going to fray-check EVERYTHING. Even with all the edges finished I’m still getting little “fluffs” of fray along the inside seams. Then… ah, clean my office. That’s all I’m planning for tonight.

Tomorrow, finish up the sleeves and the back panel, and get the zipper in the skirt. IF my appliques show up today or tomorrow, I’ll start putting them on the front trim. If not I may just cull some from my Belle ballgown (there’s about 5-6 hidden around the skirt acting as “leaves” for the larger roses, but they’re not all that visible so I figure I can sacrifice them for this). I really want to get this as finished as possible before I move onto Johanna. I can also sculpt and make my new necklace this weekend.

My goal is to start on Johanna by Sunday at the latest. If I have to stop on Anne and hang up for a while, that’s fine. I also want to get the finishing touches on Peggy – finish the belt.
