Pic Upgrades

Yall have seen me mention I’m going through old pics and replacing them with newer, bigger versions. Here’s an example.

When I first took these in 2009, I rushed to throw them up online and didn’t really take too much care with them – they were too contrasty. I also only uploaded them at 600 px tall – sometimes using it at only 500 px tall.
I went through them all and took more care with the contrast – now my dress isn’t washed out, my skin doesn’t look vaguely purple and my wig doesn’t look black. Also – not 500 px tall.

And, with I know at least Belle and Slave Leia – I have a TON of pictures I never even used. Going to drag through those, too, maybe see if I can squeeze a few more good ones out of the shoot.

Here’s another I liked – my Poison Ivy pics were better off than the Belle pics, just a little small and little dark and not sharp in some cases. But – here’s one I really liked the new version of.

There’s a funny thing about this particular picture. When we were planning the wedding, I had all these silk ivy leaves sitting in my living room, ready to be used as decorations. Sitting there looking at them, I thought, after the wedding, I could use those to make a Poison Ivy costume. I could reuse my Dark Phoenix wig. And my mental image of me in the costume was pretty much exactly that photo above. The pose, the costume, everything except the white backdrop. So it’s nice to have that mental image fulfilled 🙂
