It’s not really a snow day. Last week they said, between Mon-Tues, we could possibly get between 3-6in of snow! Well we got none. Then out of nowhere this morning comes sleet and snow. Not a lot. But enough it delayed me going to work for 2 hours until the roads were clear.
I was hanging out on the couch, watching the weather updates/news, and Indy comes snooping out of her kennel. She stretches and rolls around on the floor, and then catches site of me still sitting on the couch. She did a double take – I think I scared her. It was like “What are you still doing here??”
After that the roads were fine. Though not sure what’s going on now – still sleeting and snowing a bit, and the temp been hovering at/below freezing.
After all this ridiculousness – it’s supposed to be 63 and sunny this weekend. What? No wonder everyone is getting sick.
Anyway. I worked on Elsa a little bit last night. I’ve been making the base cotton corset but I ran out of boning, so I’m stuck and it’s back to American Girl doll dresses – because I’m also out of thread for Johanna. And I’m too lazy to go get some more. I’ve got some other stuff I need to work on, too.
But today, I came back from lunch and found a box on my desk! It was Valentines Day flowers, a cute little rosebud plant, a stuffed dog, and chocolates. He’s so sweet. Our actual Valentine’s Day is going to be pretty lowkey – take out and renting a movie, since we have Disney coming up soon.
