work, work, work

This weekend was kinda busy!

Friday night I got all my costumes ready for the photoshoot, which was supposed to be on Saturday. I burnt myself on a glue gun so bad I got a blister! That’s a first.
Saturday morning we ran errands, but then it was too cold for us to shoot, so I went to work cleaning in my office.
I decided to try ironing some of my “chunkier” wrinkled patterns. These particular patterns are so big they won’t fit in my regular drawers because of how fat they are. They’ve been living underneath my cabinet, which just looks awful, and also in some bins.
So I laid the ironing board on the floor, turned I Love Lucy on (I wanted to watch the Hollywood episodes) and started ironing. The first one I did ended up being almost as skinny as it was new! That was exciting and felt very rewarding, so I kept going.
Before I knew it, I’d been sitting on the floor ironing patterns for nearly 8 hours. I’m paying for it now, I’m sore as hell from my neck to the back of my knees. But they’re all done, and they can all fit in my regular pattern drawers now! Exciting.

So anyway – yesterday was the photoshoot! We did Supergirl, AoA Rogue, Runaway Bride Donna, Glimmer and Belldandy. Can’t wait to upload them.

My office is very nearly finished. I’d say it’s at, like 75%. I’ve got to get it done soon because I have some sewing to do.
