Donna Runaway Bride progress

This went together fast!

I bought the fabric for this last weekend, and started on it during the week. I had a little bit of hang-up with the upper portion, my first pattern tweaks didn’t work out and had to revisit and re-cut them.
Here’s the satin parts pinned onto the dressform, from Thursday, I think?

And here it is with all the chiffon parts added and everything put together, as of last night:

Working on my Runaway Bride Donna Noble costume.I've got the basic dress put together; it still needs a good pressing, and then all of the beading on the top.I do think I may go back and add a panel along the side seams of the skirt to make it a bit wider. While it's very pretty like this on, it's looking a little more fitted through the skirt than the real thing.kelldar.com/portfolio/donna-noble-runaway-brideKelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I’m hoping that pressing it will help with some of the wrinkled look through the bodice; if not, it’s back to the drawing board.
I’ve also decided I’m going to go back and add a panel in the side seams of the skirt to widen it juuuust a little bit. While I’m actually really liking the way it looks on me now, hers is a little more flared past the hips than this ended up being.

The funny thing is, I think I was subconsciously making this:

I originally wanted that as my wedding dress, and this ended up being fairly similar looking, haha.

In other news, I also picked up fabric for one of Chase’s costumes this past weekend. I’m hoping to get it knocked out in the next two weeks!
