So it took me a week longer to finish my embroidery project than I expected, on top of going to Minnesota for a weekend trip to see my in-laws last weekend. So I was feeling a little stressed the other day, and really buckled down and tried to finish some stuff last night. And I did! I finished the embroidery, and almost finished the bodice (just need to re-enforce my eyelets). So on that particular costume, I’ve just got to finish the detail at the edge of the skirt, put the waistband on, and do the sleeves, and weather it all. I can do that this weekend and get one costume marked off my list.
Of course this post is really boring without pics, so here’s one:
Wasp in-progress.
I was waiting til closer to dragoncon to see if I had the time/money to do this one. (It’s one of the ones that was blurry on my costume list because I wasn’t sure I’d get to it). Well I ordered the wrong fabric for Batgirl, so I decided, eh, let’s go ahead and make Wasp.
The yellow was all leftover fabric. I already have gloves, boots, and pants. I have a wig picked out, and I need to make the headphones. The dress is maybe 50% done at this point, I need to finish the interior bodice, finish attaching the yellow parts and the hem, and get it all put together. That’s another thing I’m hoping to accomplish this weekend and cross off my list.
