Various Updates and whatnots

I’ve been playing “Godfinger” on my phone for the past couple of days. Silly little game, but fun.

Anyway – after work today I came home and cleaned the house so we wouldn’t have to do it later, then we Chase got home we ran errands. Another fabric store trip (more chiffon and a zipper), the beauty store (blonde wefts that I think will work well for the Gaga wig), and Target.
After dinner I made some more ruffles and cut the pieces for the drapey part of the sleeves. So that means I think all of the chiffon is done for the costume. Tomorrow I break out my dye vats. I want to do it in the morning so they can hopefully all be dry by Sunday, maybe even Saturday night (I let them air dry. I’m iffy about putting anything like that in the dryer.) so I can start attaching. I would really love to have all of it attached by Sunday night but that’s a high goal… I can dream LOL

Anyway so yeah – got some wefts, put the two wigs and the wefts pinned together on a wighead and it looks pretty good. The thing with my Gaga wig – I love the yellow one I got, and I love the SHAPE of the blonde one I got. I thought it looked blonde enough in the shots, but it was really too brown when it got here. So I think just layering some lighter blonde in, especially on the top, should work ok. The wefts are going to need to be curled but easy enough.

Things I want to accomplish tomorrow:
All chiffon dyed
Get collar attached to the base dress
work on cage for gaga skirt
get gaga wig done
put zipper in extra donna troy suit and sell that puppy
sand bracelets for mara jade
draw out mara jade headband

ETA:
I haven’t talked much about Magik, have I? She’s kinda just hanging around in the background. Chase got the basic shape of my sword cut out the other day. Exciting! But namely I’m adding this just because I realised something while digging through twitter. The wig I’m going to use is a wig I’ve had for ages, but I thought I’d never used it for anything – but I’d forgotten I wore it with my She-Ra costume when I wore it in 2004:

I love the pale blonde-ness of it. I know mostly she’s shown as having straight blonde hair with bangs – but the reference I ended up going with it’s much wavier and no bangs. So it’s going to work pretty well. I pulled it out the other day and it’s a mess, just needs a little TLC… (once I find my wig spray, where-ever it went.)
