Alyss ruffles

Last night was spent sewing on ruffles, and then finishing the edges of what’s left to hand sew onto the bodice tonight. And also on wigs. I hate my wig for Surprise #2. I tried to make it work last night – added some wefts, straightened it (though it didnt like that much) and just tried to make it NOT look like a cheap $15 costume party 1950s-style wig (which it wasn’t, but it sure looks like it.) I’d really like to buy another but I don’t want to have to spend another $50 on another wig when I could spend that at the con 🙁 I’m going to try everything on tonight and try it out with both the wig I bought for it and my Black Canary wig. The Black Canary wig is too long, but looks more natural and more like I want, so I may just go with it. Gotta wait and see.

Anyway I also started attaching the wefts to my Gaga wig, that’s going much better than the other, looks ok so far. Got about 10 more lines of blonde to attach and then attaching the yellow parts.

I uploaded some pics to flickr but nothing very interesting:

this is from a while back when I was dyeing the ruffles. forgot to upload it. LOL

This is from when I was dyeing the ruffles. Don’t they look like entrails? LMAO

About once a week I have to stop and clean my office, because it gets to the point I can’t take it. Usually it happens on Sunday. So this was this past Sunday, before:

Almost everyday sunday morning I clean up my sewing room. I can't work in there anymore once it gets to a certain point! LOL This is the "before" picture.

And after:
