I have a costume. Well, almost. I 95% have a costume.
I’m really pleased with how quickly it came together. It has a couple of issues, the zipper is kinda funky and I should have gotten black instead of nude, but ah well. I need to move the snaps on the skirt in a little – it’s a little too loose where they are now, and I need to paint my bracelets and get them stitched onto the ends of the sleeves, and finish my headband.
I was originally going to wear my Selene wig with this, but I decided my Wonder Woman wig looks a little fuller and better. I wanted the whole costume to have a little bit of a “rougher” look to it, so I used a thick zig-zag stitch on the hems and a thick hem on the design on the front. I decided to use pieces of leather to tie the sleeve onto my upper arm, and I’m wearing my suede black boots with it (I like the look of boots better than the thigh-high tights option).
Now back to work on Surprise #2.
