Dragoncon 2006 wrap-up: everything else

All the non-new costumes, and how the held up.

I wore classic Leia friday morning at the RL table. That was fun! I had planned on doing that last year, but ended up wearing the metal bikini instead.
Got pics with PsychoShinji… yay! I missed her when she was in Robin and I was in Starfire last year. I also got pics with WF&DT! He makes such a great Han! It was awesome to meet him at the con.

I finally wore Bespin Escape to a con. Mostly just so I could get pics in the walkways šŸ™‚

Mustafar Padme. Once again, huzzah for comfy costumes. Although, this is one of those that once you put it on, you might as well be wearing normal clothes, because you kinda disappear. I did my shopping while in this, and we went to Trader Vics.

Animated Leia – or, as I heard it called several times at dcon, “Slutty Leia” I wore it twice – once for about an hour friday night, and again for a long time saturday night. I meant to wear it longer friday night, but I got a bad headache and the buns weren’t helping, so I had to take it off. Saturday night I wore it while we went to Buffy prom to dance.

Lake dress!
Once again spent ages ironing the beast in the morning before the parade. Melissa very kindly acted as my handmaiden and carried the train so it wouldn’t drag. Unfortunately, the high winds at the beginning about knocked my knot out. I missed the RL photoshoot šŸ™ I couldn’t find everyone, and decided to go ahead and go change for the mando pic.

Slave Leia… yeah yeah same old same old, except I had new boot tops. And Jabba slimed me. That was awesome. I didn’t wear it much – just for like, 30 minutes for the slave leia shoot. There were so many Slave Leias through out the whole convention it seemed pointless to wear it much. I did put it back on very, very late Sunday night once more.

Rogue
One of my armbands popped towards the end of the (MASSIVE) photoshoot – so I just took that glove off and posed without it from then on out. Otherwise nothing much to say, except the X-Men photoshoot was AWESOME!

After that I put on Stormtrooper Leia. Chase put on Vader. We went down for about an hour… didn’t take any pics of my own, but here’s one from Glenn:

So that’s it for Dragoncon. OH! I didn’t wear Poncho Leia on monday. I was too lazy to do the hair and we spent too much time waiting on carts. Oh well šŸ™‚ I’ll wear it again at SOME point.
