Today’s fabric store run proved very fruitful!! For once.
I got the bulk of Ashley’s fabric. I’m not using what I got the other day, I don’t like it. Not only am I happy with the colour this time, but they actually had enough of it!!
Pink and yellow chiffon for Polychrome – the two colours they didn’t have at Hobby Lobby the other day. So I’ve got everything I need for Poly… I made the base dress the other day, so I need to put the white thread on the serger so I can start working on the chiffon.
Cord for lacing up the bodices, and grommets.
Material for my Leia pants. I really like it, it’s a bit on the grey side, but it’ll do. They had just barely enough – I got all they had. I don’t think the pants will take long at all, I just need to sit down and do them.
Black vinyl for Leia’s holster/belt. Another thing that shouldn’t take long, I just need to sit down and DO IT.
This morning I put the skirt on and pinned the organza in place, and mum pinned up the hem for me. I also put the bodice on with it and I’m really pleased! Im very happy with how it’s coming out. I can already tell, from just the few minutes I wore it, that the shoes are going to be a pain. I must remember to take bandaids…
