HA YAY!! Friday I went to check the PO box and there was a big envelope inside!! A birthday card from Tanja!

A run down of the past couple of days…
Friday… got the day off, and it was raining like crazy still. Which is good since I didn’t have much to do. Y’know I LOVE rain and storms as long as I don’t have to drive in traffic in it. Went to work just to have birthday lunch with Na and Kristie. I was going to go up to mom’s school and meet the pet rats, but it was raining so hard she called and told me not to. Went and picked up the Dragoncon pics!! Woo! Came home, took nap, scanned a few of the pics, and then went to IHOP to eat w/Cath, Kevin, Ash and Matt. Dad met us up there after we ate. My new black tanktop broke a strap so I had to go out to the car and change into the shirt I was going to wear the next day, which was white and not good for lazertag. But oh well! At least I had something to change into.
We went to play lazertag, and not only were there those dumb ‘pro’ players there, but there was a bunch of little kids for a birthday party. Two of the worst groups to have in there! But we had fun. Cath and I stuck together and, amazingly enough, we never shot each other (Normally when anybody teams up, they shoot each other a gazillion times either by mistake or by “mistake.”) At one point I went up this ramp, and there were a bunch of the kids standing there with their mom. Their mom was telling them to shoot down at the people below, and they didn’t even realise I was standing behind them, shooting them in the back. It was great. They all screamed and ran when they realised I was standing there.
I came in 13th over all, 3rd in our little group (I was Buffy. Originally we were going to play 2 games and I was going to be Gandalf in the 2nd, but we only did one.) Dad came in first (as Zed, ninth overall). Kevin as Rambo was 12th overall and 2nd in our group. Then everybody else behind us.
Cath and I stopped to rent a movie – we wanted Monsters Inc but they were out. We got The Seven Year Itch instead, and I got it for free ’cause it was my birthday. But I had to pay $11 in late fees. LOL
Then Cath, Ash and I went back over to my aunt’s house to spend the night (I’m housesitting/Kevinsitting all this week). Mel and Josh came over and we sat around talking for a while, and that was fun.
We watched He-Man and She-Ra and fell asleep.
Ash got me the 70’s Austin Powers action figure! LMAO Cath got me The Dark Crystal, nice! Mel and Josh got me a Harry Potter picture album, I’m going to put our pics of Hermione and Young McG in it. And Na and Kristie gave me money. Woo!
Saturday we were awakened by the maid who wasn’t supposed to be there on a sat morning so that kinda freaked us out. Said she came by to make sure nothing was leaking with the rain. We got dressed and I got Kevin up and dressed, and Ash called her mom and headed home.
I gathered Kevin up and went home for a while to change clothes. Then I met Cath and David at Na’s house and Kevin and I rode down to Jillian’s with them. We met Na and Kristie and Rachel and her friend, and we all started playing games. I played DDR a bunch of times. I got Kevin to play, and Na and Cath, but everybody else refused to play it. At one point while Cath and I were playing, this random person wandered over and was asking us questions about it. It was so funny. At one point she said, “Work it out, girl!”
Then we went bowling… Jillian’s bowling alley is really cool, it’s kinda like cosmic bowling… but each pair of lanes is has these huge booths so it’s really private. We had to change lanes 3 times! I won’t go into the whole story but it was crazy. There was hardly anybody there so that was fun. We ate lunch while we played… I came in 3rd over all. Rachel won, with her friend in second, then me, then David and Na tied for fourth, then Kevin, then Kristie and poor Cat was last!
>We left, and Cath discovered she didn’t have any cash for the parking garage… She had to turn around and go back upstairs to the ATM machine.
By that time Kevin’s parents were home so I took him home, then came back and scanned pics for a long time.
Sunday
Had lunch at Na’s with my grandparents. They gave me a target gift certificate, a necklace with a backstory I don’t feel like telling, and a Jack Russell statue! cute!
Then mom and I went to hancock’s and got my material for Arwen. Tonight we are going to the Melting Pot… hope the power stays on this time.
