Ok before I get into anything else… I’ve got puppy fever.

More May the 4th Fun – Saturday morning I got up bright and early, got into Breha and we headed down to Brooks for a new photoshoot! A few favs…
SO glad I went out to do this photoshoot. I’d just been thinking the other day I needed to wear it again.
After a quick lunch and a a change, we headed to BeyondCon for a bit.
Didn’t take a lot of pics but it was a fun time, good little con, enjoyed wearing Wanda. After that headed to our local comic book store for FCBD offerings.
Then after a change into normal clothes, headed out to my parents’ to meet the puppy 🙂
Sunday was working on Padme a bit, yard work and other boring stuff.
Oh! Our new neighbors moved in Friday. Haven’t met them yet, but they seem to have a cat, and they’ve been quiet, so A++ so far.
Ok now let’s get into Padme progress because there’s quite a bit.
Worked on the skirt last week.
This is what I ended up with. May need to tweak the gathering lengths when I move to the real thing, but overall pretty happy with it. I moved these edits over to my paper pattern. Also got a partial lining patterned out.
I recut the hood/crossover sections changing the shape. Much happier with this. I need to run some stitches through the gatherings so I can try it on myself. Then I’ll move the edits to the paper pattern.
After that I have one more thing I want to run in a mockup – the basic top the cape/crossover hood will sit on top of. Then I may assemble all 3 pieces together just to double check how its working.
I need to get some better lining fabric before I move on to the real thing. I’ve just been using scraps of leftover blue cotton from my 2006 Belle village dress LOL It doesn’t match so I need something that matches better if it shows – which I don’t think it will but better safe than sorry.

It’s been a struggle to make myself work on Padme. I really haven’t felt like it. I really need to get into Baylan and Shin too, but we still don’t have fabric for Chase’s vest. Starting to feel stressed over everything I have to do and how “late” I feel like I’m starting and how little I feel like sewing.
Here’s my sewing list for the summer:
1. Tatooine Padme
2. T’Lyn
3. Shin
4. Baylan
5. Mara Jade green dress – only if I have time
6. Bunny Hutch outfit – only if I have time
I feel like I should be able to do T’Lyn pretty quickly since it’s so similar to my Seven of Nine from last year. I’m hoping once I actually get started on Padme she goes quick. Shin and Baylan thankfully I’m using Sionnach Studios’ patterns so that’s one less thing I need to figure out. The Bunny Hutch outfit is just a silly throwaway thing that if I don’t get to, nbd.
And as for existing things I want to bring to wear…
1. Honeymoon Leia
2. Stevie Nicks for simple late night costume
3. Lothal Leia? (if Rebels happens again?)
4. Lady Jessica (Chase is bringing Leto again)
5. Scully for late night
6. Ozma for the 10th anniversary with new crown
And prob also my Star Wars cruise dress and my new Star Trek dress from pop galaxy, for Trader Vics and dealer’s room expeditions.
So for the extra dragoncon blather here at the end. It helps me gets my thoughts in a row.
