#0007 – The Queen Speaks
Based on Simplicity 8449 from 1951.
Another jacket but this one had the perfect collar and big sleeves with cuffs for the senate address gown. Kept all the jacket details pretty much in their spots as the original, and made the lower portion of the underdress be the pleated portion. Another hat in lieu of a big elaborate hair-do/headdress, and added some of the headdress decorations here. I feel like this one scewed a little 80s LOL but I do love how all the details worked out on it.
