This one was based on concept art for the AOTC packing gown, but it was certainly different enough to warrant inclusion. I liked how dark this piece was, so I wanted to give her sort of a dramatic “dark lady” look. Concept was “raven” – especially since the concept art had her holding a bird, so that was a given. LOL.
I imagine a deep dark purple velvet for the bodice and sleeves. For the skirt and collar I wanted to keep it similar to the actual AOTC packing skirt – a shot silk but in a darker colour, and a more dramatic hemline. A very sort of art nouveau headpiece in gold with turquoise gems/”feathers” and matching jewels woven into the braids with thin gold wire. Gold armbands and a small belt with turquoise jewels.
This is one of my favs.
