All Peggy, all the time

This weekend I got a LOT done on Peggy. I jumped in and cut out my actual fabric, got the lining put together, and then the front side put together:

First run of the jacket in the real material. Ended up replacing the front panels. Lots of pins at this point!Kelldar.com | My Facebook Page | Tumblr | Instagram

I did a test run of a attempting a double welted pocket.

And then I attempted the pocket on my jacket….. and didn’t like how it looked. I also wasn’t happy with the collar shape…. so I recut that side and started over. And then I realized I also needed to recut the other side as well, so, yeah. That’s where we stand. Undoing half of my work from over the weekend. Well, one side is done – I successfully did my pocket on that side, got my darts in and it’s ready to be put back on. Gotta redo the other side now.

I also made the upper part of my collar to the pattern specifications but it was weird and too small, so I need to remake it. Got my sleeves cut as well and buttons ordered.

My grandfather gave me his old briefcase a while back, so I decided to carry it with Peggy – I got it cleaned up (boy was it grimy). But should be handy for carrying my phone and badge in.
