Went to Mema’s. Slept, ate, did a fat lot of nothing mostly. And this 2 weeks before dragoncon!
But we came home early yesterday (with a sick puppy in tow. I think she over-indulged this weekend and made herself sick. she’s still not feeling well.) and I dug in. I mostly finished Fires of Pompeii Donna. It took approximately 2 and 1/4 MST3K episodes.
I need to go back and reinforce the lower/bustline trim since it’s wanting to be a little wobbly, but otherwise, totally done. I picked up a lightweight knit at Joann’s Saturday, and this trim – it was a pretty simple project, I had a pattern that was REALLY close, just the sleeves needed shortened, the skirt lengthened, and I added some panels into the sides.
And, outside of maybe adding one more comb to the inside to help hold it in place, and reinforcing some of my hand-sewing with some glue, I finished my new Marie Antoinette hat:
