8 Days To Go: A pic of you at your most recent DragonCon and what you remember most from that year

Hmmmm a story from last year, hmmmmmm.

Oh, I know.

I was wearing Donna Runaway Bride, and Chase and I had gone over to the Hilton for something, and were about to head back to the Marriott. As we started heading that way we were passed by a ginormous Doctor Who group, who stopped and asked if I was Donna and would I like to come take some photos with them, since they didn’t have a Donna? So I said sure! Chase had to go do something (I don’t remember what) so he decided to go on over to the Marriott and we’d meet up with each other on the AL. I had no pockets (obviously…..!) so he had my phone, camera room key, and everything, but I figured I’d only be a few minutes behind him and wouldn’t have trouble finding him.

So after some photos I walked over to the Marriott and started looking for him. Couldn’t find him anywhere. I must have made 20 laps around that floor. I kept running into friends who said they’d seen him, I’d just missed him, etc. This went on for over an hour. I guess we just kept missing each other. I even asked friends to call him, and he wasn’t responding.

Finally one of our friends caught up to me and said Chase had called THEM and he was “up there” (pointing to the 1st floor by the elevators, where he’d gone to try to get a view of where I was).

I couldn’t even be annoyed because I was so tickled by the fact I’d just spent an hour wandering around in a wedding dress looking for a husband.

Note to self: next year, have definitive meeting spot, keep room key and/or phone on me.
