After Animazement Ash and I started joking around about skipping all conventions next year and putting all our money towards going to Anime Expo (which is the big ole’ convention in California) I wasn’t serious about it – I mean, I’d LOVE to go, but I rather go to a handful of small conventions over the course of a few months rather than putting all our eggs in one basket. I mean, if we just went to AX, it would probably turn out badly and we’d be upset because we wouldn’t have any other conventions to go to to make up for it.
Well, one day mom calls me and asks when this california convention I’d wanted to go to is. I told her when, and she says, “Well, how about we go to that, then fly from CA to Hawaii for a week?”
And I said, “Are you Bizarro Mom?”
But she’s for real. And it looks like we’re really going to do it. Mom has gotten reservations at the hotel across the street from the con center. We won’t know about the time share in Hawaii until beginning of next year, but our aunt (it’s her time share) says it won’t be a problem.
I didn’t say anything about it for a long while ’cause I thought it would jinx it. But man, me and ash and our parents are going to AX and then to hawaii! how freaking cool!! mom say maybe we could even fly up a day early and spend the day at disneyland !! 😀
