Got some black velvet for Lulu'a top, but it's not like, really velvet. Closer to suede. Looks nice with the grey I've got. Which reminds me, found huge bolt of the suede I got for the Lulu skirt and sleeves on the remnant table for 50% off. GAAAHH. Oh well, I didn't spend that much on it in the first place. Went to the salvation army yesterday in search of belts. Dad and I ended up staying for nearly 2 hours. They had all these bins of old record albums for $2 each. They weren't in any kind of order so we just sat around going through them looking for interesting things. Dad ended up buying a Three Dog Night album. There's a good chance I'm going to DragonCon this year. It was sort of a sudden decision between Cath and I... she can't go with us to either Animazement or Otakon, so I brought up dragoncon... it looks *really* cool, with a lot of really neat guests and events. We cut the pattern for Lulu's skirt today. As soon as my credit card payment clears, I'm going to buy the red material for Misato. Once that happens, I'll be on the way with everything for Animazement except Xiaoyu. How about an update? Lulu - have grey fabric, have fur, various bits of jewelry, and a wig. Patterns for everything. Still need to get thigh-highs, lots of belts, lacey bits, ...
I said it on my livejournal the other day, but I got the faux fur coat to use for the top of Lulu. Along with fabric samples for Misato. I think I'll use the fabric, but I'm going to look around and see if I can find something like it around here that's a little cheaper first. Animazement hotel booked today!

I got my Lulu fabric~!!! I actually found something that wll work all right. I still need to get the fabric for the top, but I got the stuff for the skirt and sleeves, plus the thread and zipper for $14 Go me!
