the midnight hour is close at hand…

Well, our week of Kevin and Skye is nearly over. Kevin went home yesterday and Skye will be going home today. Luna will be happy but I'll miss them. Even though Kevin pretty much stayed in his room here most of the time. He was playing the FF7 remake which I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out in his room and watching - reminds me that I need to buy it for ...

heathcliff, it’s me, i’m cathy

I'm losing my sanity. I keep trying to keep good and positive thoughts about the state of things and tell myself things will be back to normal in XX amount of time but it never happens. I feel like I'm staring into an abyss. All right now that I've got that out of my system let's talk about what I did this past week. The first part of my Sailor ...

spoOoOoOky halloween

Once again I don't have much to post this week. But I'm going to divide my post into segments today instead of going chronologically. Sewing! I actually do have a small sewing update this week. Belle is wearable! I had sewn the hook and eye tape on and tried it on - and it was gaping. So I had to remove and reattach it slightly further back - worked ok ...

whelp

I don't know what I did, I think I like, upset a fairy, or made a witch mad because I'm starting to think I'm cursed. I don't have much to post this week because last week was another doozy. I think I'm going to have to book a therapist just to deal with JUST the last 3 months of my life. I have absolutely no sewing to share this week. I ...

poor unfortunate souls

So this week was a lot of stuff to do with plays. Play practice, painting play backdrops, making play costume... Halloween itself was kinda lame. As usual. It rained allll day. I wore Garth to work though I left the wig off most of the day. I was going to change into something else for handing out candy that night, but decided to be lazy and just stayed in Garth. ...

halloween hijinks

oh god that's such a stupid subject line but i'm sticking with it. I've been dealing with a cold since tuesday! Ugh! Friday it progressed into "i'm coughing so much i can't sleep/breath and I feel like I'm going to break a rib." Mucinex is my best friend right now. House stuff is at a "hurry up and wait" point. Inspection was Wednesday. Waiting on sellers to OK/do ...

Halloween, Part 2

Well this was probably the most disappointing Halloween in a long time. Since the only people who see me at my job are my coworker and my boss, and it was cold that day... I just wore Chase's Spike kigu to work over regular clothes. Over the weekend I decided that for Halloween night, I'd wear my DCNU Wonder Woman to hand out candy. It needed some repairs, so I ...

Halloween weekend!!

IT'S HALLOWEEN YALL! We had a really fun weekend. Friday night started with cooking dinner and settling in on the couch to start watching Stranger Things 2. We got through 2 episodes that night. Saturday morning we slept in a bit, and then I started getting ready. (How to tell a photoshoot is happening at my house) We had very pleasant weather last week (70s mostly) and then overnight Friday it got ...

the nun is done

Finished up the last bit of the nun and delivered yesterday. Fingers crossed everything fits and works ok! Chase was a very good sport and tried it all on for me so I could make sure the veil attachment worked and double check my sleeve and hem measurements. I had to take it with me to play practice to finish the hand-sewing on the veil. I finished while sitting in ...

More Disney photos, and Edith sleeves

First up, Chase gave me the photos he took of my Tightrope Walker last weekend! Had to go get pics with my alligator buddies before we left the hotel for the party. I love these guys. And then over at Magic Kingdom... I also got these added to my Tightrope Walker portfolio page along with parasol construction info. Speaking of construction info, Amanda over at my FB asked about my ...
