last night's viewing: The Six Wives of Henry VIII. Finished the Katherine of Aragon part, started on Anne Boleyn's. Finished the other boot for Surprise #2 (Supergirl), and now I want to revisit the first boot because I like the way I did the second boot better. Here's an update on the bodice and skirt section - time to start on the trim:
A little update on, well, everything. Lady Gaga: Haven't touched it, needing more fabric. I did get my shoes. I need to order fabric for the bodysuit, and also my wigs. last night's viewing: Interview w/the Vampire Didn't get a lot done. Almost got one of the shoes for Surprise #2 done. Given up on finishing the dress for the formal thing simply because my black satin has gone missing. It's been floating around my fabric bin for 4 years and now it's gone... lame. Going dress shopping tonight w/my mom.
last night's viewing: 2 mst3ks. I did a lot of sewing, but none of it was for dragoncon. I pulled out a dress I started making back in 2006 to see how much was left to do on it. I got the skirt finished off and the top put together, and started looking at the waistband. I'm giving myself tonight to finish it - if I don't, I don't wear it ...
Yesterday's viewings: All MST3ks: Jack Frost (again), The Beast of Yucca Flats and half of Lost Continent. (also some random stuff on tv while doing some hand-sewing in the living room). The bodice of Surprise #2 is finished! Well, except for embellishments. Made the skirt, got it attached, made the sleeves, got the embellishments on them finished. They're a little iffy looking in places but I'm leaving it for now. ...
Last night's movie of choice: The Royal Tennenbaums Just more work on the bodice. More hand-sewing than I expected. Got a little more of that to do today then I can finally get those grommets in. Got both my Black Widow AND Surprise #2's wigs in the mail yesterday. Love my Black Widow one, Surprise #2's I was a little disappointed in, but I think we can make it work.
last night's movie of choice: Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind I started out with dyeing my Mara Jade/Arica netting - I couldn't quite get it dark enough with either dye, though. So now it's dry and I'm considering what step to take next. I need to order my skintone fabric soon - I've tried looking locally and can't find anything. Last night's movie of choice: The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. Project: Bodice for Surprise costume #2. I got the two sides put together and figured out, started getting the boning cut. Will at least get it to grommet stage tomorrow. I'm excited about it so far, my idea for it worked out fine, hopefully things will continue to go swimmingly.
