Shirt/Vest:

I started out by finding a tan coloured button-up shirt on ebay. I cut it off at the bottom, and used the excess to make the pocket flaps on the sleeves. The shirt is sewn to the top of the pants, essentially creating a jumpsuit. It’s not super comfortable but I didn’t have to worry about anything slipping out of place!

I had a hard time finding a fabric for the vest, but finally settled on a grey denim. I made the vest without a pattern, it closes via hook-and-eye. It’s not super accurate but back in 2005 there weren’t a ton of references I could find for this so I just tried my best. I’ve been wanting to remake the vest for years and one of these days I’ll get around to it.

Pants:

The pants I made using a fitted pants pattern, with yellow ribbon for the stripe. The fabric is a super thick 2-way stretch and its not super comfortable. As I said above, I decided to go ahead and sew the shirt to the pants, and make them once piece. In 2007, I made new pants for this costume when I did my Endor gear, and made them out of a softer blue knit, with a baggier fit. Much more comfortable!

Holster:

The holster I made last minute out of black vinyl. In 2007 when I made my Endor version, I made a new belt & holster, and added the gun.

History:

I’ve only worn this at Dragoncon 2005 and for a couple of photoshoots, though as I mentioned I made new pieces to wear with my Endor gear in 2007, so it’s gotten a decent amount of use since then. As of 2019 I have fabrics to remake this entire costume – uniform and Endor gear – but as of 2025 I still haven’t done anything on it. One of these days I will.
