One more Wonder Woman update

Leaving for GMX tonight, so last WW update! Chase finished my Wonder Woman chestpiece and tiara, and he's finishing the belt today. Here they are yesterday afternoon: Finished up Ash's Ood jacket but really not happy with it; definitely remaking it before Dcon next year. So, since 4 people and K-9 take up quite a bit of space, I'm only taking 3 costumes - WW, Donna and Rose Tyler. Ash is bringing ...

a few more MidSouthCon 2011 pics

Here's some pics I found from friends from this past weekend. (pic by Glenn) my hair looked great friday. too bad it didn't stay that way. I was really surprised by how many people knew who I was supposed to be - better than at Anaheim or Dragoncon, even. (At dcon people kept asking if I was a steampunk person.) (pics by Lin and Glenn) various Hippolyta pics. (pic by ...

MidSouthCon 2011 wrap-up!

MidSouthCon kicked my butt! But it was a great weekend. Didn't get a lot of pics. Most of the pics we took were Chase's he took in his photo booth, so I can't post those. But I'll post what I have. Friday I'm glad I had the day off, because I ended up having a lot to finish up at the house, plus packing. I ended up taking Queen Hippolyta (...

MidSouthCon 2011 Plans

With Seattle behind me, I'm planning for MidSouthCon at the end of the month now. I've been steady working on my new costume for it - I feel like I'm right on track to get it done in time. I'm pretty excited about it. Chase is doing quite a bit of it for me, and I'm excited to see the pieces he's making. So since the MSC folks were nice ...

Seattle trip, ECCC

We're home! We really had a great trip. I got to see where Chase lived and went to school when he was in Seattle, see his friends who still live there, and the con was a lot of fun. I don't have any pics from the "real" camera yet, but I'll post a few from my camera phone. We got in late Wednesday night, picked up our rental car (which, ...

Tilt Shift video of the Dragoncon 2010 parade

I just deleted my livejournal. Anyway - post-dragoncon... I've updated my site with all the new stuff. Here's my flickr gallery - I still have more to add once Chase sends them to me. And here's our video of the parade. It's a time lapse tilt shift video, I think it's pretty neat. In other news, working on Briar Rose for Halloween. :)

MTAC 2010, Trooping, Photoshoots… etc!

(This post may seem a little repetitive - this was ported over from my livejournal and recapped a lot of stuff I'd recently posted on my blog. Now that my LJ posts are part of my blog, it's very redundant!) A recap of recent costume-y stuff... MTAC came and went and we got stranded there an extra day because of the flood. It was all pretty icky, for everyone involved. ...

House updates, Anaheim Comic Con pics!

I forgot to post pics of our (almost) finished kitchen! The cabinets are done and they're up! I'll get a better pic with a real camera soon. I'm really happy with it. Now to hang stuff on the other end of the kitchen and our curtains and it's done. Also, I cleaned up the prop room... Still a little messy but way better than it was. While I'm posting, here's ...
