Last night around 8pm I put the last touches on Bespin Leia. It is officially DONE. There's some stuff that's not perfect. My chiffon ended up stretching during the embroidery especially on the two front panels, so the front hemmed edges want to be a little wavy. One side is better than the other. I may add weights to the hem still but it doesn't HAVE to be done. Going ...
IT'S ALMOST DONE!!!! Ok so wow I haven't posted in a week. Let me play catch up. I got the lining reattached to the embroidered piece. I pleated and repleated and rerepleated and rerereplealted and rerererepleated it all onto the yoke about 500 times. I got the trim sewn on the tunic Wednesday night. Friday I had the day off! But... I had a hair appointment I was getting cold feet ...
So, I finished Yoke #3 and it's all right. It's not greeeeeat but it'll do. It's not like I could try again, there's no fabric left! After that photo I did take the collar off and inset it into the yoke so there's no ugly seam sticking out between them. This resulted in a kinda ugly stitch line where it's sewn on, but it's a trade-off. So since that was finally ...
