Day 7. A WTF moment at Dragoncon
Being told that we couldn’t sit in the Marriott sail bar area if we didn’t buy anything. At 2 in the afternoon. When it was nearly empty. After my husband had already bought a drink. And after we’ve paid to stay in your stupid hotel for nearly a week. Complained to marriott corporate and got an immediate emailed apology and multiple calls telling me that was not the “marriott way” or something. Didn’t want an apology, really – I just didn’t want their wait staff hassling people sitting in a common area after paying $$$ to stay in the hotel. Sorry I didn’t want a $3 watered down coke at that moment.
(Would have understood if the bar area was packed, but it totally wasn’t.)
Anyway, that’s really the only “wtf” moment I can think of in recent memory.

Day 8. Somewhere you like to eat at Dragoncon
I eat at the Chick-fil-A a lot. I don’t eat CFA for like a month beforehand to prepare myself for eating it a bunch at dragoncon, so I’m not sick of it. I have trouble finding something to eat on sundays. We’ve also eaten at the Benihana’s several years in a row.
My favourite thing to eat at Dragoncon is what I bring i my cooler though: my convention diet of a coke, a reese’s and a handful of pringles.
