30 days of dragoncon, day 3 and 4

Day 3. Your first costume
I really don’t know, I made 4 new costumes (and took two old) for my first dragoncon and not sure which one of those was “first”…

Padme, Shadowcat, Buffy and Ocha were all new. (Ocha was pushed back from Otakon.) Hermione was from the year before, and She-Ra was from MidSouthCon earlier that year.

Day 4. A product you highly recommend having at Dragoncon
I love Buzz Bites. I bought so many one year that I’ve had enough to have one or two at every dragoncon since – had just 1 last year, and it was my last one. They’re a nice little pick-me-up, and the first bite into them tastes like brownie batter to me (though after that it’s pretty strong caffeine, but they’re such a quick little snack it doesn’t last long.)
Other than that, I say just a cooler. I bring my own cokes and chips so I have snack stuff in the room, instead of relying on the coke machine or the gift store.

Today I finally got my Donna buttons painted and attached. They’re not perfect but that’s finally off my list. Started on my Marie wig. Also decided to fore-go the shoes I was going to re-cover for Marie and to just use my wedding shoes. They’re not 100% perfect – they’re a little too modern, but the front shape is nice and matches my dress. It just saves me about an hour or two of gluing crap together.
