Saw Jurassic World twice this weekend and now I am a velociraptor.
Chase was out of town Friday and Saturday and I tried to get a lot done but I didn’t really.
I started on the circles underneath the points. Not crazy about how the beaded ones looked so I stopped beading them and just focused on getting the basic circle done – but they are a pain in the butt to do so I just did a couple at a time in between beading. Got the big center piece totally beaded!
I ended up having to sew on a new strip for the upper section. After removing the thread, the fabric was toast. Plus I found a random hole in one of the center squares?? WTF? So I cut out a new piece, sewed the “ladder” in place with a thinner stitch this time – and straighter! and got it sewed on last night. I need to press it so it lays flat, but it looks much better already.
I could probably be completely finished with this upper section this week – but I am going to stop and pattern out the bottom tonight. Get that printed and drawn onto the fabric, and focus on getting as much of the machine stitching done as possible over this week. I’m going to my grandmother’s this weekend so I will have some good solid beading time – I want to have plenty available to bead š
