whelp

I don’t know what I did, I think I like, upset a fairy, or made a witch mad because I’m starting to think I’m cursed.
I don’t have much to post this week because last week was another doozy. I think I’m going to have to book a therapist just to deal with JUST the last 3 months of my life.

I have absolutely no sewing to share this week. I did get a little done. Got the hook and eyes sewn onto the front of the dress, got one the sleeves basted on. Will finish the other one tonight. My to-do list is:

– Finish tacking hook and eyes in – I think they need to be anchored into the boning a bit more so the lining doesn’t pull. Need to try it on.
– Baste other sleeve in, get both machine sewn in place.
– Sew closure on underskirt (again, I need to try everything on and get the placement right)
– Hem underskirt
– Make a petticoat? Dunno if I need one. Again, need to try it on.
– Find shoe buckles. May just buy some American Duchess ones. Was trying to be cheap and find something easy

I was going to do all of that this weekend but my brain was elsewhere. I ended up playing a lot of Sims. I got the Island Living expansion since it was on sale. Made some mermaids. Chase and I watched The Shining Saturday night so then I decided to make the Overlook Hotel but the only property I had big enough was a beachfront so the Overlook is now a beach resort.

Luna has been extra clingy.

Trying to eat my dessert Saturday night and she refused to move so I had to eat around her.

Kristie gave us these shelves.

Got them over to the house and assembled last week, put them up in the bedroom. Don’t have anything on them yet.

Took Kevin to Dave and Buster’s

They opened one up here a while back – like over a year at least – but it’s always busy so we never went. Thought a weeknight would be the night to try so that’s when we went. Hardly anybody there. Food was meh but the games were great. Kevin had fun.

He played this battle pod game and loved it but also got dizzy.

We also picked up our Halloween pumpkins last week.

Both of these chonkers were $6.

We decided to go traditional and found a couple of just generic fun pumpkin faces.

Which reminds me I have no idea what I’m going to wear Halloween night. It’s probably going to be Leia because it’s easy to get to and recognizable.

I actually wrote this post late yesterday… and then didn’t get around to actually posting it. So update 12 hours later. Did a tiny bit of sewing last night – finally tried everything on, got the skirt closure marked. Discovered a couple of issue with the fit; nothing major. The one sleeve I had basted in doesn’t look right, I need to take it out and reset it. And the front hook and eye closure is gaping. So I cut off one side and moved it further in, and that seems to have helped. Will try it on again tonight.

But I’m mostly just really tired and just want to sit on the couch and play sims.
