I sewed a little over the weekend, but not a lot. I got the design for the front panel of my Arianna dress finished and uploaded to spoonflower… but then couldn’t find my spoonflower sample book. I’m pretty sure I want to do the Cotton Sateen, but I really wanted to feel the material first. Stupid sample book has been in my desk drawer for over a year, and now it’s not there… I looked all over for it last night and it’s nowhere to be found. Ugh!
Anyway, I got my skirt panels put together and luckily enough found one large panel of white Anne Boleyn fabric leftover that I can use as the center panel! Whoohoo!
But I have no pics of any of that.
Saturday I played around with my pink Belle dress. I wanted to fix the fit issue at the shoulder — which I mostly did, I hand-sewed it in place, still gotta put it thru the machine, and then fix the sleeves since they’ll be fitting into a smaller space.
I also played around with how I want to redo the bustles.
I think I’m going to go with the 2nd option. (Also ignore the weirdness going on from the sleeves up on the back, everything is just lightly sewn back together or pinned on at the moment up there)
And I decided I might pull the front pieces back a little further:
So I got a start on that, but left it all unfinished. I’ll get back to it perhaps this weekend?
And a hot new costume alert spotted at Kroger:
